35mm Slides to jpg Digital File (UK postcode RG20 only*)
Many of us have collections of 35mm slides with valuable family memories.
Why not take the opportunity to have them converted into jpg digital images. Ready for you to enjoy them on your smartphone, tablet or even your smart tv, and ready for printing.
How much does this cost?
Basic service at 20p per slide
We scan your slides so you can view them on your smart phone, iPad or similar. They are generally not suitable for printing.
High resolution scanning at 24p per slide
We scan at a higher resolution so that the file is suitable for printing.
Can I do prints from the jpg files?
For a jpg file you can print to A4 size, ask for our high resolution service at 24p each. We can print for you but for most purposes, on-line printers like snapfish, photobox or bonusprint offer better value for money.
How do I get the jpg files?
Your digital jpg images are sent to your nominated email address. Alternatively, you can supply an emply memory stick and we will load them for you.
How good are the results?
As we scan we apply a basic tidy-up including colour adjustment, scratch removal and exposure correction. BUT we can only perform minor miracles; the quality of old images is very variable and we can only work with the original slide.
Can you retouch individual slides?
For that special slide we can usually do additional work to help restore the jpg image, not the actual slide. Please ask for more information about this via our 'Contact' page or email.

The Cherished Wall is introducing a range of photo related services which for the immediate future are limited to the Newbury area. We aim - initially at least - to provide a free collection and return service. To do this we will be servicing only the RG20 post code area. Our framing, personalised prints, panels and original art all remain a UK national service.
